WELCOME TO 'AGE OF RESISTANCE' SERIES

At the core, the series is about What We Have Lost, and What We Have Gained. It is about Moving into the Future with the Memory of Our Martyrs. Its foremost motto is that the Resistance is always there, from Darfur to Khartoum. With their record of toppling three dictators, the Sudanese prove time and time again that they will win in the end. As Sudan celebrates one year on from the start of the glorious sit-in in Khartoum and other Sudanese cities on April 6, 2019, and the fall of Omer Al-Bashir on April 11; we look back at the considerable changes in the political landscape and the emergence of new actors and interest groups.
In PART I, we explore the transformations that are happening in Sudan in relation to some of the contemporary insurrections and political formations around the world as well as highlight the creativity and solidarity that are part and parcel of building social movements and of the Sudanese Uprising/Revolution. PART II is dedicated to the role of Sudanese Women who took center stage of the Resistance.  We hope you will find some food for thought in this set of ideas that we contemplated as we started planning this event. We also hope that you will decide to participate.
