In this discussion we will focus on women in the resistance! Walking through national failings and personal contradictions is a road much traveled by women across the world; Sudan is no exception. From the streets of Chile to Hong Kong, Iraq to Lebanon, to Algeria and Sudan, women have been at the forefront of protest movements. In this forum, we will be exploring the failings and contradictions in the African context, while putting women, and Sudanese women in particular, in the picture, offering various perspectives and interpretations of Women’s Roles in Social Movements and/or Uprisings, with reference the December 2018 Sudanese Revolution.
