PART I
Symposium
on:
BUILDING
MOVEMENTS FROM THE GROUND UP—WORK, HOPE, AND FUTURES
April 3 – 4, 2020
There is no doubt that
the events in Sudan from December 2018 through to April 2019, and the path the
country is trying to forge towards the “citizenship state” against the odds
left by the 30 years of rule of the Islamists, is not only a critical juncture
in the country’s history but will be told and retold for years to come, from
generation to generation. This symposium is one of those attempts to explore
individual and group stories of work and hope, and to envision possible futures
from where we are today. This Call for Papers, Workshops, Poster and Art
Displays, Autobiographical Thoughts and Creativity from Sudan’s New
Revolutionaries, is open to everyone who have a story or an artefact to
share. It is also open to groups to share what they learned as they came
together and what helps them now to grow.
The program of the symposium
to-be-announced.
